So, do you think impressionists kind of had to go away for 20 years before they could come back? Other than a few parodies on SNL, it's tough to think of anybody who did an impression of someone from the "new" generation (e.g. post Sixties) of celebs. And too many of them just don't offer much to grab hold of-- try to think of what you'd do to imitate Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts, say, compared to Cary Grant or Katharine Hepburn. Are ventriloquists coming back next, or did the Muppets kill them off for good?
