Mafioso (The Criterion Collection, 3.18.2008) Nino Badalamenti is a supervisor in a car manufacturing plant who hasn't taken a vacation in over two years. On his way out the door to visit his beloved childhood hometown of Sicily -- with his blonde wife and daughters -- Nino is handed a package by his boss and asked to deliver it to a powerful and influential Sicilian gangster named Don Vincenzo. Once in Sicily, Nino has a hoot seeing friends and family, but his wife has trouble fitting in and is unfairly dismissed as a snob by Nino's family. Even more worrisome, Nino finds himself entangled in an intricate web of secret mafioso dealings and is eventually sent on an unexpectedly... elaborate errand. (continued)

Death to Paris Hilton

"I have always had a voice and always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out. I think that is the hardest thing you can do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realized it is what I am most talented at and what I love to do the most" -- Paris Hilton

Dr. Smith says ...

Jeff, man, the only way this vapid twat is gonna disappear is if we IGNORE her. Stop even thinking about her, let alone dropping her name in a column, even if it is for a quick laugh. When you MENTION her, she stays FAMOUS and that's her job. I know, I know: She wins either way cuz she's a billionaire whether she's in the spotlight or not. Still, the least we can do is IGNORE her before she becomes a permenent symbol of American stupidity.
