This Saturday Morning Shootout video clip with Peter Bart and Peter Guber, obviously recorded last summer, has Bryan Singer confessing that Superman Returns cost more than $250 million bucks. But you'll have to sit through nine minutes and 15 seconds of this and that first.

Why shoot in Australia if it still ends up being as expensive as if it were shot here? They could get away with that on the Matrix and LOTR, because those films were split into three parts; but how do you justify spending that kind of cash on one film which may or may not have a sizeable return? (And this is after the company's just downgraded AOL!) I guess Warner is aiming to be another Paramount.
