I was in Vegas about a month ago to see Don Rickles (which was a blast). What really struck me about the place is that it's a hard, harsh industrial city covered with a thin layer of flash and shiny lights.

I don't mean to sound like your mother, but why are you there when you could be at the Seattle Film Festival? But since you are, the loosest slots are at the Barnaby and you can get a cheap, excellent prime rib dinner there in the restaurant with the red banked seating and stained glass. Best get in line, they bring it to your table, deli lunch place is at Wynn. NY, NY has a good blues band perched high up in an curtained off bar sliding distance from the casino floor.
