Ohio Pleasuring

Not that anyone cares, but HE solemnly pledges to see The OH in Ohio sometime this weekend. That 25% Rotten Tomatoes rating, I'll admit, hasn't exactly gotten my hopes up, and those complaints about no nudity and an oddly asexual vibe haven't added to the allure, but I feel strangely drawn regardless. Directed by Billy Kent from a script by Adam Wierzbianski, it's about a somewhat arch and brittle Parkey Posey not having an orgasm with husband Paul Rudd, but eventually hitting paydirt in this regardwhen she runs into a kind of pool guy-sex guru played by Danny DeVito. I was speaking about this last night with colleagues outside of the Arclight after a Miami Vice screening (my second),. When I heard about this I asked, "How does DeVito administer the pleasuring?" and one of them replied, "He goes up on her." (This is a great line, and I'll give this guy credit for it if he gives permission.)

this looks pretty good, but i'm more looking forward to Paul Rudd's other film " I COULD NEVER BE YOUR WOMAN" with Michelle Pfeiffer, Tracey Ullman, Fred Willard and Stacey Dash(who looks oh so hot in the new playboy!)

Hey Jeffrey & the HE Gang... I have seen this movie back in March at SXSW. I really do not see it doing much biz. A small company is distrb. it and I don't feel they will push it the way it needs to be sold.

I loved it! It's not perfect by any means but it delivers the laughs and has a lot of heart. This is the kind of movie that is perfect for 'date' nights.
It is a 'chick' flick that guys will enjoy and laugh with like I did.

The story is kinda slight yet I never was bored. Parker is what you would expect, Rudd is very funny, Mischa is a BEAUT! But it is Danny DeVito that takes the prize here. Parker is the star but DeVito is playing a character he hasn't really visited as much and you buy him in it to the letter.

I also liked how it ended as well. This movie in some ways reminds me of Sideways. Not as smart or as assured but if you liked or loved Sideways then this is also your cup of tea.

This is the kind of film that needs (And I am sure will) play at places like The Angelika or Landmark, but it needs patience and good word of mouth to make it in the marketplace.

As a mature sexual comedy it delivers without giving into purient interests. Though that said I wouldn't have minded more nudity but then it would have been out of place and taken away from the humor.

Women (Open Minded) should love this.

It's a very poorly constructed and amateurish movie. Posey and Rudd deserve much better. They're doing everything they can, but there's not much for them to work with.

Based on your item, I saw this movie last night. Absolutely dreadful, for the most part. A strong cast, wasted. Just not funny, save for one orgasm bit with Parker Posey at a business meeting.

I would ask you to send me my money back, but afterwards, I saw MRS. PALFREY AT THE CLAREMONT, which was a first-rate gem. Sentimental, yes, but it stars the wonderful Joan Plowright and will bring a tear to your eye, if not a lump to your throat. Definitely not for the fanboys. But if you're, say, over 40, it's a must.
