There's a rumor that Heath Ledger will be announced as the Joker before the end of the weekend.
It's certainly not a name that's made the fanboy gossip rounds the past, but that's not a bad thing. Should be interesting...

Personally, he would only be my second choice of a Brooklynite to play the role behind Paul Bettany, but after last year's 1-2 combination of Lords of Dogtown and Brokeback, I think this would be a great choice.

I will always resent the fact he gets to sleep with Jennifer Connelly every night... but Bettany is ok.
I thought he was awful in DaVinci code, though.
