"Snakes" hot & cold
Snakes on a Plane doesn't open for another three and a half weeks so take this was a grain, but however well it's going to perform, there's going to be a signficant group -- over-40s who don't go online much, I'm guessing -- that's going to avoid it like the plague. This doesn't mean it's not going to do very well with the people who want to see it. But it's a film that folks are either hot or cold on. Not a lot of middle grounders. That's all I'm saying.

so the over 40's don't need to go see it then...we all kind of knew that. this movie is going to appeal to 16-30 year olds, and i for one smell an opening weekend of close to $50 million with steep drops after that, coming in a bit over $100 million domestic. Then, look out for the dvd....that will be bonkers

I'm soon to be 59 and won't see SNAKES, even though I love a good monster/horror film. It just looks to be crap. I do want to see the DECENT, though.
