Baaah....baaah. Jonathan King's Black Sheep, a horror comedy, suddenly became the big hot-pants Toronto film after a well-received midnight screening last night. Sales rep John Sloss is reportedly fielding several offers. Meanwhile I tried to get into a screening of the damn thing this afternoon at 3 pm, but I was shut out. Baaah. Last night someone told me there was some heat on this film. Another person said the same thing this morning. A publicist friend wrote today and said, "Have you seen or heard anything about this yet?" Baaah.

I take it you make that sheep sound cause you're one of the flock.
You're pretty derisive and dismissive of genre films in general, so your sudden interest in this film you have no interest in because of some post screening heat is very sheep like indeed.

FYI, the movie in question is about an outbreak of genetically-engineered mutant SHEEP going on a rampage in New Zealand. Awesome. Here's a plot synopsis:

It's very funny, fast-paced and quite gory, although in a "so gross you can't help but laugh" sort of way. When the mutant sheep attack humans, they bite and their victims run the risk of becoming "were-sheep," which are every bit as bizarre-looking as you might imagine. Director Jonathan King has made a sick, slick horror comedy with some impressive special effects (from the WETA team that did LORD OF THE RINGS), lively performances and many amusing touches. I will be greatly surprised, however, if one of the really ghastly jokes near the end makes it past the MPAA. It should, because it's hilarious, but I have a feeling a re-edit will be ordered. The audience did, in fact, love it and several of the sheep attacks drew a hearty combination of shrieks and gales of laughter. I was sitting near King and he was delighted by the reaction.
