Staggering

Without running a photo or naming the guy in this space, it's just amazing -- staggering -- how unstoppable self-destructive urges seem to be in some people, despite the certainty of exposure and brutal consequences.

Now come on Jeff, would you have linked to this if it weren't for the actor named in the end line of the story...

...fess up.

Why say 'without running a photo or naming the guy' and then provide a link to a photo and the guy's name? What a hypocrite.

When it said "self-destructive urges" I thought it was going to be that picture of Alec Baldwin yelling at a cop who wouldn't let him near the crash scene (he apparently lives nearby) in Manhattan.

In Jeff's defense, I'm not the only one taken aback when I saw Bernsen connected with this. I've seen him countless times on Fox news every morning for years.

Maybe you have to be here in LA, but for me, it was a true Holy Shit moment.

So does this mean Pat Buchanan will be on TV calling Bernsen a "flamer" repeatedly as he did Rep. Foley? (Unlike Foley, Bernsen looks like he could kick Buchanan's ass -- I'd pay to see that.)

What's particularly noteworthy is that Bernsen, who not only worked for the local Fox affiliate's news division but also right-wing radio station KFI, was never shy about airing his ultra-conservative views, and was perhaps the most rabid pro-gun guy I've ever heard outside of an official NRA spokesman. Once again, the champions of "values" and "morality" are shown to be a giant rat's-nest of hypocrisy.

I'll skip making a list of Democratic sexual shenanigans. Come on, everyone is a hypocrite, regardless of politics.
