Even at 1000, Peter O'Toole is a pleasure to watch...but that trailer is obnoxious. I kept waiting for the ironic punchline like it was one of those fake trailers so popular on YouTube 5 minutes ago. The music. Agggg.
To cj: Get ready for more of that music because, if I'm not mistaken, it was Corinne Bailey Rae, and she had a "Music by" credit in the trailer.
And, on a somewhat-related note, is anyone else unimpressed by the Oscar-touting quote from Pete Hammond? This is, after all, the guy whose blurb for "The Guardian" ads read: "An unforgettable motion picture experience that dives right into the heart and soul of a true hero."

I didn't meant to slight the movie itself or even the music. On its own the music is fine if you go for that sort of thing, but all the parts just added up to the same old trailer BS and it's probably not even an accurate reflection of the actual movie. There was nothing about it that said "Hey, this is something fresh and new, you'll want to see this." It was just blah. Ok, I'm not making any sense at all so I'll just shut up now.

That first piece of music is a lame rip-off version of the opening music to Little Miss Sunshine.
The trailer otherwise got me interested in seeing Venus now, but more for the older actors; not the girl who's like a transplant from Mike Leigh's "All or Nothing".
