But time will tell if the piling on, especially if more people continue to jump on, will have a lasting effect on Cohen's career. It seems the people behind BORAT were less than completely truthful in getting those releases signed. Cohen, himself, seems to be a bit on the weird side. Does this catch up to him and how soon?

Not only did I grow up there, but I spent my first two years of college there and they were far richer than the two I spent in New York City. I went to NYU and USC (where Donen graduated FYI) had a film screening schedule that put the film school's to shame.

Regardless of what a group of idiots in one movie did (and who wants to bet me I can't find a group of idiots in ANY major city to spout fucked up racist shit), it doesn't translate into the basis of an entire city's mindset.

Can you find some town out in the sticks with a majority of intolerent dicks? Sure. But have you ever been to fucking Bensonhurst? I never saw outright racism until I moved to New York.

The witlessness of some people here is breathtaking.

It's the same way here in Cali, people aren't as obviously racist as they are back east but they're still racist, just not partciularly honest about it.
