Tapley, Roth, N.Y. Times

Much admired screenwriter Eric Roth is making the rounds to raise awareness about his work on Robert De Niro's The Good Shepherd (Universal, 12.22), which, as he promised in a phone chat a few days ago, has a lot more in the way of adult texture than most of the films out now. Here's a N.Y. Times interview piece by Kris Tapley, out today.

The movie bears a weird resemblance to "A Beutiful Mind", just without the math: gorgeous wife, obsessive nerd, disasterous marriage, spiralling paranoia, etc.

A well written piece. So, why didn't Mr. Cuaron mention Paul Chart, Hawk Ostby, Mark Fergus, David Arata or Tim Sexton, just PD and Clive?

I know this thread isn't about CoM, but about a screenwriter. Why don't directors give writers more credit for their collaborative contribution? I think CoM had a great script, which was only inspired by an idea in a book. Here are all the writers that worked on the script.
