The stupid Broadcast Film Critics site doesn't even have last night's winners posted, much less photos. (They've still got last year's winners posted...shmucks.) Plus last night's show won't even be aired on E! until 1.20.07, which is derelict by the immediate cyber standards of early 2007.

For a guy who has expressed very little regard in these pages for the BFCA, methinks you're obsessing about this overmuch.

He's right. If the Broadcast Film Critics want to be taken seriously they should have their results on their site within minutes. It's more than 24 hours later and the hot news is they're going for... Brokeback Mountain... and Philip Seymour Hoffman... and Reese Witherspoon!!!
Any minute now they'll be awarding their Best Actress prize to Emma Thompson for 'Howards End'.

That day will never come for this collection of publicity teat-suckers.

This is my first post in this site, although I've been reading it for quite a while.
It just seemed so unfair to read all of you bashing the page of the BFCA as "having only last years winners bla bla bla" when nobody, not even the site's creator himself went into the trouble of clicking on the "2006 winners" link. Off course, they are the lastest winners, they are just called "winners of 2006" because the movies are from 2006 (departed and the lot).
Mr Wells I respect you and read you blog day in day out, so I expect you to have a more thorough aproach before going off like that on somebody. especially when all you had to do is click on a button.
