Bizarre. I was crossing on 50th and Broadway an hour ago--maybe just before midnight New York time--after a double feature of Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth, and I saw a guy who looked just like Jeffrey Wells (or at least his picture on HE). He was chatting on a cell phone. Now, I was totally not in a clear/sober state of mind, so I just stared at him and may have said, "Wells!" wonderingly. However, when I am under the influence of an intoxicant of the "strawberry cough" variety, I invariably do this thing where I mistake strangers for vague acquaintances or people I've seen somewhere or another, so I thought I was just doing that. But this Carnegie photo seems to confirm that Wells was in that exact area. So strange.
Incidentally, Children of Men was spectacular and Pan's Labyrinth, I thought, a bit lame. (Why stab a fascist but not kill him?)
