This is turning out to be one night of surprises! Next thing you know, they're going to praise a bunch of dead people! And Anna Nicole Smith will get an extra loud cheer! Only what fucking movie will they use to sum up her marvelous career? Smart money's on 'Hot Shots Part Deux'.
Can't say I agree that Hudson's speech was great. It's pretty much the same one she's given everywhere, and it was completely unbelievable when she said she didn't expect to win.
Nice shout-out to Jennifer Holliday at the end, though.
I don't begrudge her the win - it was hers all along.
But in five years people will look back on this kinda like a Marissa Tomei moment. I'm betting she won't do any other films worth mentioning...she basically won for that one song. She killed with it, but still....
