So where's the visual? I'm just a guy kvetching from the sidelines, but can you imagine being an editor of a serious online news site and putting up a story that's entirely about a composite image of James Bond and not putting up said image?

Kind of guts the story of all interest. You can see the image here: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article1475326.ece

Saw it. It's nothing much. Looks kinda like Lee Tamahori... especially the Roger Moore bits.

On second view... more like Robert Evans in "Man of a Thousand Faces." That scene where Thalberg thinks Cagney doesn't isn't nearly messed up for the Hunchback and brings in Sidney Korshak to beat the living shit out of him. Verismilitude... is everything.

Looks like blend of Evans, Stewart Granger, and some dude named Fleming.

I concur T.S. Idiot. My first reaction to the photo was "Why it's a young dashing Ian Fleming." Fancy that.
Connery will always be BOND, that said while Dalton brought back some of the danger and Pearce brought back some of the elan Craig has now made it his own, not to take anything from Sean but Craig is the best since the original and no I do not mean Barry Nelson the 'American' James (Jimmy) Bond!
I only pray that the Producers have really listened to why Casino and Craig worked and continue this new tradition of Bond.

It's funny how neither story mentions the direct comparison made in the novel Casino Royale. One of the articles does mention a basic description from the book. But in the novel, Vesper Lynd describes Bond as a more handsome version of Hoagy Carmichael. The composite doesn't look much like Hoagy at all.

I was thinking the exact same thing Rich, but I didn't say anything because I've already exceded my nerd limit this month and geeking out over James Bond was out of the question. I'm a coward that way.
But the point stands. These people based their compositie on things Flemming said regarding the casting of the role apparently and never actually picked up a book.
