Tribeca peeps

If I hadn't been slogging around in a kind of slow-motion gelatinous London membrane yesterday, I would have posted Stu Van Airsdale's early-bird Reeler posting about some of the '07 Tribeca Film Festival selections. such as: (a) Angelina Jolie's A Moment in the World, a documentary that's most likely about her U.N.-sponsored humanitarian efforts (and is apparently her behind-the-camera debut); (b) Lucky You, the trouble-plagued, endlessly delayed Curtis Hanson gambling movie with Eric Bana, Drew Barrymore and Robert Duvall; (c) Spider-Man 3...please; and (d) the feature directing debut of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, called The Education of Charlie Banks.

Wow, the new films by Angelina Jolie AND Fred Durst....quite a coup for the festival. Curtis Hanson must feel like hanging himself. And poor Bana...anyone who's seen "Chopper" knows the guy's got it, but none of the big American directors he's worked with have been able to bring it out in him....they all want the quiet, brooding Eric Bana. Let the guy cut loose, for God's sake - if I live to be 100, I'll still never forget the scene in "Chopper" where he whips it out in the bar to mess with his buddy, all while being questioned by two cops - classic. This guy needs a part in a Tarantino movie badly - something with some 'ooomph'.

You're more excited by a Fred Durst movie than Spider-Man 3?

Whatever, loser.

Wow. That's the gayest thing I've read on this site since Actionman reviewed 300.

I kid, I kid!

Why you dissin' Spider-Man Wells? My girl Kiki is in it. Oh, I see - running down popular movies makes you feel all superior. Well, aren't you special.

Hey, Jeff, Quint over at AICN is announcing that the POTC III trailer, which Quint says is great, is going to be premiered nationwide on March 19. Don't waste your time dissing Spider-Man 3 when you can be the first on your block to start hatin' on Cap'n Jack! If you're going to torpedo Sweeney Todd, you need to start getting serious about it.
