Cool poster. But the trailer didn't excited me in any way.
My favorite performances of Clooney's have been in comedies (O Brother) or light hearted movies (Ocean's 11) because there HE DOESN'T TAKE HIMSELF AS SERIOUSLY.
Visually interesting poster. But I had forgotten about this movie (and you talking about the bad title a bit back) and my first thought was "Who is Michael Clayton that he is getting bigger billing than Clooney and why have I never heard of him?"
This may be my most anticipated movie of the rest of the year. I love Clooney and Tony Gilroy.
HOWEVER, I find the poster hideous. It seems almost fan-made. Giant red text over an out-of-focus pic of an actor? I could do this in five minutes with Microsoft Paint.
The tagline is good, but the way it's presented completely destroys the poster. The Syriana poster ('Everything is Connected') was far more effective.
DotTheEyes: You're definitely entitled to your opinion, but I would point out that the fact that someone could recreate it in five minutes doesn't make it bad. I mean, anyone could create a picture of a Campbell's soup can, but that doesn't mean Andy Warhol was a shitty artist.
It looks like one of those insufferable Truth.com anti-smoking ads. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but they make me want to light up every time.
Thank you, SaveFarris. I made a comment like that a month or so ago, and there were nothing but crickets. Not the biggest football fans in the world around here, I guess.

I agree, bad ass poster. And silly title: "Michael Clayton" reminds me of Blanchett's "Veronica Guerin", whose name I could ALSO never remember.

It's a great concept, but it's flawed by the Eurostyle Extended typface near the bottom, which kind of says "Cold War Era Action/Suspense Film", imo.
I'm not a huge Warhol fan at all, but "shitty"? I don't think so.
