It's still a toss-up between The Nannie Dairies (67, 30, 12) and War (56, 39 and 8) for the #1 newbie slot this weekend. Mr. Bean's Holiday (72,27, 7)...modest, under$10 million. Rod Lurie 's Resurrecting the Champ is at 67, 25 and 2. The overall winner will be Superbad with a three-day tally of somewhere north of $20 million.

I'm disappointed that, according to the reviews, the Nanny Diaries doesn't even appear to be escapist fun a la Devil Wears Prada. Disappointed, because I was looking forward to the next work from the directors of American Splendor, and also because I'd love a good excuse to stare at Chris Evans some more. Ah well...

What about "Right at Your Door"? I think it's better than anything else you've mentioned.

I see ads all the time during Conan O'Brien. Mostly Scarlett beding over. No wonder it's tracking better. A second place would be very good news for this film, no?

At first I thought D.Z. was poking fun at Jeff's misspelling, but then I realized, nope, he's misspelling it too.

*beding over. Hopefully, she also does bed over, whatever that is, it sounds good.
