Here's an mp3 of the "Puttin' on the Ritz" number from the Young Frankenstein musical, presumably recorded in Seattle. At first it sounds exactly like the the same bit 1974 Mel Brooks film, then it expands all to hell. I don't mean in a bad way -- I mean extensively.

says ...I saw this two weeks ago up in Seattle. It was pretty good. Not as good as Producers or Spamelot, but still very funny. The numbers aren't nearly as memorable (this song being one of the few exceptions). It felt a little like the actors were trying to hold on to the presence of the actors who played the roles in the movie, with the exception of Roger Bart in the Gene Wilder role. Still, not a bad time in the least. And the set design is pretty terrific.
Where is this picture from?

says ...Saw this during the tryout also. A good night out - especially at the Seattle, and not Broadway, ticket prices. "Puttin' on the Ritz" is easily the show's high point.
