I tried finding out what the real Owen Wilson situation might be from sources after I heard the reports around 9:15 pm, but I started too late in the evening. When Joe Leydon called to ask what I knew (not knowing himself what had or hadn't happened), my first reaction was "oh, God." I'm very sorry if it's true, and may the worst of it (whatever "it" might be) be over. A little recovery, and then on to Darjeeling Limited press duties, making Justice League, etc. Life isn't perfect but you have to live it anyway.

I was thinking, "didn't he see what a bum trip suicide is from watching his brother in Tenenbaums"?

Then I realized he was in Tenenbaums.

I'll be honest, when I first heard of this Tenenbaums was what came to mind too.

He really doesn't seem like the "type" to try and kill himself. But I guess that's always the way.

I blame CHUD. They shouldn't have posted that irresponsible fake news story about Wilson doing another movie with Ben Stiller. It was funny at the time, but surely, that's what sent him over the edge.

Silly as this sounds to say, suicide is illegal and it is not unheard of for someone to be prosecuted for attempted suicide; or it could be because of illegal substances found on the premises.

This is very surprising news about the Butterscotch Stallion, given he seemed to have great self-confidence to the point of self-regard.

His turn as a preppy, sanctimonious narcissist in "Meet the Parents" was subtle, real, and knowing, if you have ever encountered one of those bastards. Wilson appeared happy as a Golden State Warriors' fan, courtside with Kate Hudson. Alas, one never knows.
