"Shoot 'Em Up" site

A decent Shoot "em Up website is finally up. Decent but hardly innovative or wonderful. A really good site would let the viewer see the original moving stick-figure drawings that director Michael Davis drew to sell the movie (i.e., how he intended to shoot it) to would-be financiers.

That'll make a pretty kickass DVD extra, though.

The animatics are available in the adult section, something I guess that was denied to Wells.

This movie looks ridonkulous.

But, ya know, the good kind of ridonkulous.

Kind of a crowded release date, though, no?

Don I think the "your mother" jokes are just hysterical. Entirely creative and unique. Just like your white bread movies

How so, ridonkulous? Or how so crowded release date?

The crowded release date, you have 3:10 to Yuma, Hatchet and Brothers Solomon, all R-rated, all appealling to similar audiences, all opening the same day. (Although I feel many of the readers here don't care about those last two, they are options that can divide an audience who can only opt for one film that weekend).

The ridonkulous aspect speaks for itself.

Web site is fine, I saw the animatics in the restricted section no problem.

The footage we got to see at Comic-Con was crazier than what is on the site, people were yelling and screaming. After seeing the clips my 14 yr old daughter wants to see the movie. The LADIES were going nuts over Clive, lots of love for him.

I'll be seeing it the 1st week it comes out.

Never met the guy, never talked to him.

I live in SD, and hit Comic-Con every year.

Were people yelling and screaming at the clips for Shoot 'Em Up? Yes. Were the ladies sighing over Clive? Again, yes. Did my kid tell me she wants to see the movie? I think you get it by now.

I never saw Domino or Smokin' Aces, 2 films that have been compared to Shoot 'Em Up. For ME, it reminds me most of Crank. It's sort of a live-action Roadrunner cartoon, where the laws of physics are not suspended, but ignored.

YMMV.
