Publicist
Claudia Gray, No Country for Old Men director/co-writer Joel Coen at last night's
Old Men party that followed a public screening at the historic Elgin theatre -- Saturday, 9.8.07, 8:25 pm. Coen said Skywalker -- i.e., George Lucas's post-production facility in Marin County -- has been the highest-quality screening room he's seen
No Country in.

Ultimate
No Country badass
Javier Bardem at same
No Country for Old Men party..."We are all lucky," he said, evidently feeling that way and then some -- Saturday, 9.8.07, 8:40 pm

Can you even imagine the tail Bardem gets? that bad haircut/wig in NCFOM notwithstanding?

Bardem's a snob. Acted all pissy when I tried to pitch him on my The Sea Inside 2 idea.
The Coens were equally cool to a treatment I did for a kind of Alien Vs. Predator thing, with Walter Sobchak battling it out with the "Charlie Meadows" demon character from Barton Fink (while trying to keep a newborn baby safe), all CGI, with a b&w guest segment directed by QT. Goodman times two would be the biggest thing ever, IMO.

Joel Coen looks a lot like James Elroy with that mustache.

Actually, he looks like Dr. House's Jewish stepbrother.

George W. Bush is a big fan of the novel. Maybe Claudia can get the Coen's a trip to the White House.
