Mafioso (The Criterion Collection, 3.18.2008) Nino Badalamenti is a supervisor in a car manufacturing plant who hasn't taken a vacation in over two years. On his way out the door to visit his beloved childhood hometown of Sicily -- with his blonde wife and daughters -- Nino is handed a package by his boss and asked to deliver it to a powerful and influential Sicilian gangster named Don Vincenzo. Once in Sicily, Nino has a hoot seeing friends and family, but his wife has trouble fitting in and is unfairly dismissed as a snob by Nino's family. Even more worrisome, Nino finds himself entangled in an intricate web of secret mafioso dealings and is eventually sent on an unexpectedly... elaborate errand. (continued)

""Bee Movie" short

With the exception of Jerry Seinfeld's overly enthusiastic opening & closing remarks for NBC's "TV Juniors" show, this short about a Bee Movie writers conference (which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival promo event last May) is a lot funnier and cooler than anything in Bee Movie itself. Just sayin'...

In other words, no one should go see this movie...

But we should all rent the DVD for the extras?

Got it. Thanks.

Bee Movie TV Juniors are godawful and unfunny. They've been ruining my viewing experiences of The Office and 30 Rock for the past four weeks.

Jerry Seinfeld has lost his funny. He's the new Chevy Chase.

Bee Movie is like Evan Almighty or Kangaroo Jack. Thanks to the annoying and completely over-saturated advertising, I don't even need to see the flick to hate it with every fiber of my being.

Jerry Seinfeld = the new Chevy Chase. Yes, exactly.

Although if you saw Chevy Chase on the season opener of SNL this year, you have to admit that he's funny and may be primed for a comeback (just as long as he doesn't end up in a family sit com).

You're not refering to that tortured bit Chevy did on Weekend Update, are you? PAINFUL.

Seinfeld is promoting Bee Movie as if his kids were being held hostage and won't be released unless there's a $60 million opening...

And after watching several seasons of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" it's becoming clearer and clearer that "Seinfeld" should've been called "David".
