If you want to feel moderately depressed and stay that way for the next two or three days, check out Moviefone's Best Movie Bets of 2008 list. 33 films are listed, but with the exception of Drillbit Taylor, The Pineapple Express, Wanted, Leatherheads, Hellboy II, Bond 22, The Dark Knight, Uncle Festus and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and possibly He's Just Not That Into You, the odds seem reasonable that 24 will be punishers.

I will see anything Ed Norton does. And Where The Wild Things Are is supposed to be great.
If anyone knows where I can get a copy of Egger's script, I would be their friend.

Iron Man could be good with the cast assembled and Favreau directing. I am sure the people who post here won't agree, but I am going to see this one. And Ed Norton as the Hulk as well. Having Downey and Norton playing roles like this could be interesting. I still think Michael Keaton was the best Batman.

The Dark Knight, Cloverfield, Pinneapple Express, Wanted, Where the Wild Things Are, Benjamin Button, Iron Man, Hulk, Pride & Glory, Leatherheads, Bond 22, Indiana Jones, Hellboy 2, Rambo, Harold and Kumar 2, Hancock, Get Smart, Eagle Eye, and Star Trek are all movies I will be seeing.
But where's the steak?

Angels and Demons? Wasn't this widely acknowledged as the first official casualty of the strike? I'd take this list with a pretty hefty grain of salt... no mention of Benjamin Buttons to be found, either.
Jeff, I'd say save the Xanax until you get a whiff of "The Biggest Films of 2009."

I'm actually beginning to enjoy this continuing Uncle Festus riff.
I second the nomination of Michael Keaton as the best Batman. My fantasy is to someday see Robert Downey play Batman, but only with the druggie motormouth performance he used in A Scanner Darkly.

Pineapple Express wasn't incredibly funny and paled in comparison to Superbad and Walk Hard.. at least the version of it that I saw did. James Franco is awesome in it though, it's the best thing he's done to date.

I too have very high hopes for Wall-E, and looking forward to Ironman (Downey is very funny in the trailer) but I have little hope for Drillbit and none at all for Wanted after seeing its wantabe Matrix trailer.

I saw the trailer for "Fool's Gold" last night in front of "Sweeney Todd". It just might have been the worst 2:30 of my life.
