God, at this point, I hope she doesn't win - just so Jeff will shut the hell up about it, and find a new creepy obsession to parade around on a daily basis.

In Jeff's world:

Juno is to Zodiac as Hillary is to Obama.

It would be nice to see a little more space on a movie web site actually be about the movies. I'm just not that interested in Hillary Clinton. I am not planning to vote for Hillary so you don't need to convince me.

Maybe spending a moment or two discussing how Walmart just dealt HD DVD the crippling blow would be worth his time? Maybe?

It's sad and creepy and a little bizarre ... how much of the Hillary hatred has been spoon fed to the public by the MSM, the same group who torched Gore in 2000 with the "I invented the internet" slander and all those 'girly-man' canards. Go back to prime sources ... if the pundits say Hillary's a racist for attributing MLK's victories to LBJ, for instance: listen to what she actually said. Actually read her health care plan -- it's almost identical to Edwards',which was a far more inclusve and affordbale one than Obama's. Bill Maher said it best: the real axis of evil is the brilliance of our media and the gullibility of the American people. And that includes Jeff, alas -- hook line and sinker.

Wells to Jay Smire: I have said time and again that the whiners who think the proportion of movie stuff on HE is too low compared to the political stuff are free to search elsewhere for talk and nourishment. Another option is to bypass the political posts. Another option is to read this post, which I put up a couple of hours ago. It kinda spells things out.

I see you've now posted a blurb about Walmart and HD so I like to think my point was made. But you may be right: the site does have "Elsewhere" right after the title "Hollywood".

My point wasn't: too much political stuff too little film stuff so much as I feel lately one of my favorite film sites has been hi-jacked by two topics: Hillary and Juno. Both are getting a little tiresome. Juno more so than Hillary. I don't think of it is whining so much as reader feedback. I am not an industry insider, but I enjoy the insights on the industry and your early scoop on films to watch out for.

For the record: my plan has been to vote for Obama all the way. And as a democrat, I think it is problematic if Hillary gets the slot. I'd still rather get my fill of film news here than election news.

Gore torched his own campaign.

"if the pundits say Hillary's a racist for attributing MLK's victories to LBJ, for instance: listen to what she actually said."

That MLK wasn't that important to civil rights?

"Actually read her health care plan -- it's almost identical to Edwards',"

Except for the "Let's take the HMOs out of the equation" part.

"which was a far more inclusve and affordbale one than Obama's."

Inclusive if you could afford it. If you can't, the state pays for you when you go to jail.

"Bill Maher said it best: the real axis of evil is the brilliance of our media and the gullibility of the American people. And that includes Jeff, alas -- hook line and sinker."

The media was rooting for Romney and could care less about the Dems.

Why shouldn't the media be looking forward to Obama vs. McCain, just like the rest of us? Are people like Christ Matthews, who make no claim of objectivity by the way, somehow supposed to be more than human?

Not even remotely funny. I voted for Obama and will continue to do so but I don't see the point in this public slaughter of Clinton - it's like Lord of the Flies. Is this really what we've come to.

Obama deserves more civilized and worthy supporters.

Yeah, I'm actually starting to feel sorry for her. I mean, at least if you're gonna lose, you should lose with everything you got, not just lose because the people you associated yourself with are idiots. Still, I keep wondering what Hillary expected from the race.

Oh, I'm definitely not going to defend her-just sympathize with her. If she loses, it'll just be an office; but her pro-war vote cost many families their parents and siblings. People make jokes about our support for Obama, but, as I said a long time ago, he delivers where it counts. Hillary can't even deliver the Red States her husband won over ten years ago, which is why her base is giving up on her.

Hillary ran an inept campaign that is why she is hurting right now.

Is there sexism in America, yes and there is racism as well. Barack had the sense to hire a campaign manager with national experience. Hillary did not. She also burned through over $130 million already and had to lend her campaign $5 million. How is that possible?!

I do think the Cindy McCain slice of the pie is pretty funny.

This pie chart is not an attack on Hillary. It is an attack on her supporters. Did you see all the dorky losers sitting behind her during her Super Tuesday "victory" speech? They were pre-occupied with taking photos with their cell-phones and digital cameras, barely listening to her speech (not that you can blame them). They're supporting Hillary because she reminds them of that kindergarten teacher who protected them from the bullies.

That's just so stupid and so untrue, George. It's complete and utter hatred of women in general; no woman could survive as a candidate. Women and men hate women. Gay men don't, as a rule, which is why we women love them. The Hillary thing has brought out the most disgusting personalities - and for the net, that's saying a lot. And give me a break about the war vote and all that crap. How many of you were pro war and then changed your minds? A fucking lot of you I bet.

A Bush supporter could have said the same thing to me in 2000.

This is the creed of a deluded fag hag. There are plenty of gay men who don't like certain types of women. Look at movie stars and celebrities. Gay men love Madonna. They hate Jane Fonda.

I think a woman who was not a Clinton could get a lot of support and less biased press, and less hatred. We're still in the dark ages when it comes to women candidates, but we're getting there. But the fact remains, she is the former first lady and some people don't want to go back to the `90s. She is a Clinton first and a woman second and there is nothing unfair about that.

Zimmer: I disagree. If Barbra Boxer was running for President, I'd vote for her in a second, because she's more progressive than Hillary. Also, I was never pro-war, pro-action in the sense that we go after the perps. But I knew that asshole was dangerous, when he refused to talk to the Taliban. Still, even if I was pro-war, if I had changed my mind, I'd expect Hillary to recognize she was wrong, too.

christian: No, a 2000 Bush supporter would be
telling me that tax breaks are great, and to "get over" him "winning" Florida.

I agree to a certain extent, christian. But to be fair, he really hated the Clintons in the 90s. It might be a Catholic thing. Look at Chris Matthews, Maureen Dowd, Lawrence O'Donnell...to may to mention...

And going back to Zimmergirl's comments once more, I guess what she is trying to say is that God put gay men on this Earth to serve as mascots for straight women with low self-esteem. To validate their existence. This is extremely patronizing and I'm offended by it. Zimmergirl, you really need to grow up.
