There's no doubt about the Oscar winner for Best Song. Once's Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova are the champs...of course! Deserved, fated, ordained. Stewart's line about Glen -- "Wow, that guy is so arrogant!" -- is hilarious.

AWESOME! I let out a cheer when Travolta announced it, which confused the people I'm watching with, but whatever. Watched the film with my girlfriend, and we're both excited that it was recognized in front of so many people.

an amazing moment in a small budget film gets its due instead of that overproduced Disney-bound for Broadway production numbers.
I'm blissed out.

Great movie, great music, great choice!
Best moment of the show, hands down. Even the awkward return after the break wound up as a winning moment!

Yeah, I love that they brought Marketa back to give her speech of thanks - very eloquent and moving. Once winning Best Song is the award I am happiest about tonight (with Cotillard being a close second).

That Ledger moment...did the strip "burn out" at the end (as opposed to fading away...)?

I agree that it was nice to bring her back out, but what about all of the other people that have gotten cutoff throughout the year?

Hey, which would you take to a desert island, Christmas Story or L'Eclisse?
Carp about it if you want, but bringing Irglova back out was the classiest thing done on the Oscars since honoring Chaplin, or at least Robert Altman's great subtly anti-cynicism speech a couple of years ago.

I was so crazed when she was cut off that I shouted when they brought her back out for one of the greatest oscar moments ever.
I wonder if Stewart had anything to do with it...
