"Bullitt" maps, charts, pics

The Bullitt car chase on Google maps, the most specific and photo-rich Bullitt location rundown I've ever read (including specifics about the car chase), and the YouTube clip that I posted and few weeks ago. (Note: I first saw the link the Google maps thing on Movie City News, which means that David Poland has worldwide territorial rights as far as all things Bullitt are concerned, not just now but from here to eternity.)

I wish someone would do that old/new photo comparison for the Vertigo locations.

Well now, that is pretty cool.

The first time I visited San Francisco in 1977 I was thrilled to see that the airport still looked exactly the same as it did in the final scene of Bullitt. Airports in the 60s and 70s were dinky compared with now. They completely rebuilt San Francisco International shortly after my first visit.

I wasn't alive in 1977, I've never watched Bullitt and I've only been to LA, Indio and Disneyland when it comes to California travels. This map means nothing to me.

MSN's Live Search maps with the bird's eye view feature has it all over Google maps. You can get a closer view of the Bullit chase and see it from four directions.

Arch451, if I did it right, there should be a URL for just such a Vertigo comparison here.
