Mafioso (The Criterion Collection, 3.18.2008) Nino Badalamenti is a supervisor in a car manufacturing plant who hasn't taken a vacation in over two years. On his way out the door to visit his beloved childhood hometown of Sicily -- with his blonde wife and daughters -- Nino is handed a package by his boss and asked to deliver it to a powerful and influential Sicilian gangster named Don Vincenzo. Once in Sicily, Nino has a hoot seeing friends and family, but his wife has trouble fitting in and is unfairly dismissed as a snob by Nino's family. Even more worrisome, Nino finds himself entangled in an intricate web of secret mafioso dealings and is eventually sent on an unexpectedly... elaborate errand. (continued)

You Like Costumes?

"WANTED a PA for the costume dept for a upcomming [sic] Oliver Stone movie called W. A car a must & some computer skills also interest in costumes." -- from a 3.12.08 Craig's List posting. An "interest" in costumes? As in...what, a passing interest? As in some good ole boy in a flannel shirt sitting around with a beer and saying, "Shit yeah, I like costumes"?

Yeah, I was down in Shreveport a couple weeks ago and Oliver Stone was staying in the same hotel and we saw him sitting at the bar with some people going over plans, and I assumed that he was there to shoot the George W. Bush biopic and this confirms it.

Could be bogus. I know there were a couple of phony listings posted for Stone's Pinkville.

Why not? The movie's about some good ole boy in a flannel shirt sitting around with a near beer saying "I can run the country"
