The best thing about this segment is Richard Lewis's off-screen "oh, come on!" as an MSNBC video report relays a John McCain comment that Barack Obama "doesn't get what we're about," or words to that effect.

I saw that interview - Lewis came off like he was on meth or had just downed 5 Redbulls. Worse, he certainly didn't bring his A-material with him. I kept waiting for a great zinger to steal, but mostly waited for him to calm down.

It's not lack of humor... it's lack of composure. He came across pedantic and irreverent... not exactly the kind of stuff you expect from a professional entertatiner. And, more important, not the way that will convince anybody of his main points.
