I ran into Lucas this morning. I asked if he could show me a digital work print) of the film. He said no. "First of all, you seem to hate me and everything I do. Why in the name of God would I show you the film under these circumstances? You've called me 'the devil.' Back in '99 or thereabouts you wrote that I was a lesbian. I'm sorry, but you're going to have to wait for the 5.18 Cannes screening."
