Does the firing of top Clinton campaign strategist Mark Penn over his mucking around with the Columbian government over the possible passage of a bilateral trade treaty with the United States (which threatened to muddy by association Hillary Clinton's anti-NAFTA posturings) going to be read as a credibility compromiser by Joe Lunchbox voters in Pennsylvania, or is the story too complex to affect their understanding of things? I had to read this story twice to absorb all the angles. Working men like to keep things straight and plain and sound-bitey.

You say from experience. You say from experience. Please add that sometime. I know you're not a blue-blood prick, but my god.

I'd compare Hillary's campaign to the Titanic, but that would be insulting to Captain Smith.

Kinda odd for a guy who gets huffy over "eye-rack" to let something like "Columbia" slip through.

The real question the news media is missing: why is Hillary opposed to this, any, and evidently all free trade agreements?
Is it because of principled policy? No - it is merely political pandering too rust belt state voters...
Perversely, she could benefit from this firing in PA...Hillary standing up for the little guy...

I live in a small, conservative redneck town in Pennsylvania. Much to my surprise over the past week many Obama signs have been posted in front of houses. I've seen one Hillary and absolutely zero McCain (though it's still primary season.) I don't know what that indicates, but for this racist town it's kind of alarming and I'm hoping a quiet indicator of Hillary's run ending with Pa.

In light of Burma Shave's recent observation that Hudson Hawk flopped because its release date coincided with the end of the Cold War, I cannot envisage many people LESS qualified to enlighten us with their political opinions.

Please Wells, as Bob Violence mentioned. The country is Colombia, not Columbia. As the son of a Colombian, this irks me no end.

I should have added, as for the post at hand, I think Joe Sixpack will just get that someone in the Hillary campaign supports NAFTA and met with a foreign government. The parsing over who he was representing at the time etc. is what is going to get lost. The straight line will be NAFTA to Hillary campaign. This can't help her.

You'd be the one sterilized I should clarify. I'm never having kids. I'm obviously terrified they'll hate HUDSON HAWK.

OK, Burma Shave, you clearly aspire to take irony to the edge of its extreme limits but might I politely request that you polish your sarcasm? Maybe work on it with your date tonight who I'm picturing resembles Chloe Sevigny during her unemployable phase.

somehow I don't mind when your opinions about movies and such come off as arrogant. The superior attitude is one I can relate to, after all - when I want a take on a film I want an educated view plus a gut response.
But boy, your comments on Pa. reveal you at your worst - you come off as an elitist, patronizing shit.
