So in other words, you were visiting Laser Blazer aka THE best DVD place (rental & sale) in LA, if not the West Coast. Probably among the best 5 in the nation.
Only, that's a lot further east than just two blocks.
Gittes, there's actually a not terrible TV movie from about 8 years ago starring Linus Roache. Also I would say Stephen Culp in THIRTEEN DAYS is pretty definitive.
BurmaShave: But I want, say, a Eric Roth scripted biopic based on Arthur Schlesinger's fantastic book, Robert Kennedy and His Times. I would say there has yet to be a definitive take on RFK, though, I haven't seen Thirteen Days.
Also, Gittes that would be awesome. Certainly we are still waiting for the ultimate, but in the mean time those are two good options, especially THIRTEEN DAYS.

Look at that pic of Robert Downey, Jr. Those piercing eyes, that strong jawline, the overall air of confidence. (sigh)
He'd make a terrific president!
