"Perhaps no vilifier of Hillary Clinton traipses across the footlights with a bigger satchel of calumnies than Andrew Sullivan, who diagnosed Mrs. Clinton as 'the hollowest form of political life,' a 'sociopath.' His solo act had and has a symptomatic significance. Published under the aegis of The Atlantic's stable of notable byliners, Sullivan's Daily Dish blog is must-reading among the media elite, those sheep.

"His words extend wider ripples in the ocean of emotion that passes for opinion journalism than did those of his fellow cobblers. In a column for The Times of London entitled 'The Clintons, a Horror Film That Never Ends,' Sullivan compared Hillary to Glenn Close's bunny boiler in Fatal Attraction -- 'Whoosh! She's back at your throat' -- and the Clintons as a couple to the fast-running zombies in 28 Days Later. 'The Clintons live off psychodrama,' he contended in a classic pot-kettle-black moment.'" -- from James Wolcott's current (June 2008) online Vanity Fair column, titled "When Democrats Go Post-al."

Best line in the Wolcott piece: "With Hillary, you would earn your merit badges; with Obama, your wings. Hillary’s candidacy was warmed-over meat loafâ€â€comfort food for those too old or fearful to Dream."

Why is Big Brother -Big media so eager to push Hillary aside for the Candidate that promises to wipe out the middle class with promised Tax hikes to income taxes to those who make more than $75,000.00 a year? Plus he won't he even offer health Ins after he is done destroying the middle class. Wake up people this is a class warfare election. You are being sold on sound bites. The only good thing about Hillary is at least she recognizes that The family of Four making under $200,000.00 is the middle class that needs protection against tax increases. Not to mantion she is the only one who promises to get us out of Iraq qfter she's elected. If you really pay attention to what Obama says he is offering conditions before he pulls us out of there. Obama is backed by the Trillion dollar health care industry and the Military industrial complex. (Think GE=NBC who pays Mr Olberman his multi million dollar salary, plus the other poltical pundits and their corporate backers. Think about the Obama leaning Congress and Senate who get their campaign contributions by the same businesses that Hillary wants to go after.) Yes Hillary is a politician but so are the other two. Only she is talking about not screwing over the middle class and talking about insuring everyone with quality Health Ins.
Think about this. Ask yourself why the big media who does have a business relationship with both of those major industries Healthcare and the Military industrial complex want to see Hillary's campaign fail?

Todd, you're late for Iron Man. Don't forget your costume taped together from plastic pie pans.

I've found Gaffers Tape works really well holding the pie tins together. But use aluminum, much classier.

Indeed, the frathouse subsection of Obama's base is too repulsed by a woman they don't want to screw to see that Clinton's policies are by and large more progressive, better thought-through and more likely to be successfully implemented.
There's a reason why the lower-income and less-educated voters - you know, the people that the Democratic party is there to champion - flock to her, and it ain't racism.

yeah I thought the "obliterate Iran" comment was so well thought through ( genocide anyone?) and progressive - oh yeah - and the gas deal too - real intelligent stuff
when the deficit and the social security time bomb go off - the middle class - the working class - will be gone anyway - the upper classes will carry on
