The Girl on the Train
"Barack Obama makes me feel good to be a black man. Just seein' him up there representin' intelligently and really knowing what he talkin' about and defending his shit even when they try and shoot at him. The old president and baby girl -- Bill and Hill -- they tried to double wop on him. Boo bop. But he have enough game to get out of that."

Honestly -- what is that with African-American guys and scary dogs? Has anyone ever seen a rapper walking around with a love dog of any kind? A golden retriever, say, or a cocker spaniel or anything that isn't bred to maul and bite and inspire fear? Always the pit bulls with these guys and the threat of having your ankle bone crushed into splinters when the beast lunges at you and sinks his teeth in.

I'm sure Snoop has the resources to properly care for a pit bull. I always wondered how the dogs that live in the middle of the ghettos get enough excercise without parks or backyards.

Actually, that dog looks nice. I know some white neighbors who like to have huge ones. [We're talkin' Marmaduke huge, and they don't look cuddly.]

Do you want to see some "sweet, cuddly" Pit Bulls? Try touring the animal shelters, particularly those down near the 'hood. You'll see all of the good-natured ones that were discarded by their owners/breeders because they didn't kick enough ass or show enough fight.
The upside is, if they're in a shelter they are being used as bait dogs.
Yo 'sup?

Gonna be a FLOOD of these now. You know all the hip-hop celebrities who were/are "for" Obama were politely keeping it to themselves until he nailed the nomination for fear of seeing themselves turn up over ominous music in an attack ad.

That Snoop piece is unbearably bad. The "What I've Learned" series is generally great (they ran one with Michael J. Fox a few months back that was fascinating), but while Snoop might have great flow onstage, his ability to form cogent sentences on paper is lacking in the extreme.

Why can't he be a nice, quiet, respectful black person like that Clarence Thomas? You know, benefit from Affirmative Action and then turn against it. Marry a white woman. Dutifully follow the lead of Justice Scalia in fighting judicial activism, except when it helps conservatives. The country would be so much better. But then, what would all the wiggers do?

Am I the only one that finds this comment unbelievably sad and unbelievably funny at the same time?

I felt the same way about the Grimke sisters. No one should ever turn, on principle, against something they've personally benefited from.

Rich: The sad part is that he still sounds more coherent than Dubya.
Bush also offered supportive words for British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, whom he is scheduled to meet on Sunday, and who is facing tough times at home with support for his Labour Party and for his leadership fading fast.
"(He is) plenty confident and plenty smart, plenty capable" Bush told The Times. "He can sort it out."

Again, let's think of what would happen if a white celebrity used an equivalent belittling term to characterize Obama based on his race.

Poor Snoop, it was just about 2 months ago he was putting Obama down and claimed that he was being financed by the KKK. Snoop is confused. Since he missed his opp to go to college and think coherently, maybe he will see his kids go to college and make sense of what the daddy is saying.

"People" like Snoop?

He ain't belittling Hillary. You need to keep up with your black slang.
Chicago: I think he was being ironic, since, according to http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/snoop%20dogg%20blasts%20obama_1064503
, at the end of his statement, he said: "In America's eyes, that muthaf**ker's gonna be president 'cos (John) MCCain can't f**k with him. Hillary (Clinton) can't f**k with him. He's winning over white people, white ladies."
