Bana has Star Trek next year as well. I guess its possible he could get a slight bump from both films, but I think he's had his chance at being a Hollywood lead.
Really, it's not a role that's well suited for him. I'd rather watch him in interesting supporting performances than the bland, charisma-free work he's done as a lead.
I 'll give Hulk a chance. I liked the Lee version though.
As for Marvel's future plans, I don't see how they are going to do a Mighty Thor movie and not make it some sort of satire. Thor already looks goofy as a comic character--I'm trying to imagine keeping a straight face at seeing a real live actor in that ridiculous getup.
Budd, I think the same thing could have been said about Batman, before Burton essentially revolutionized the way superhero costumes are portrayed on screen.
As I understand it, the Thor movie is going to deal primarily with his youth in Asgard, which will presumably lead to the exile on Earth in the form of Donald Blake. I imagine Thor will probably be decked out in traditional Viking garb, rather than his comic book costume.
You never know, though. The warriors in 300 basically wore Thor's cape, and a few people seemed to like that.
Something annoying about Obama trying to be hip by saying he will see the Hulk movie and that he is email pals with Scarlett Johannsen. Seems like pathetic pandering. At some point he needs to focus on more important things, doesnt he? He does play some mean basketball though.

I saw one of these at my local theatre. I bet you could fetch at least 20K for one of them.

I'd rather the Hulk elsewhere than the Campaign '08 elsewhere... At least it is a bit more topical.

Just saw an interview with Obama where he said he loved the Hulk TV show as a kid and can't wait to see the movie.

Does anyone here think Eric Bana's turn in the new Apatow flick could make him a big star?
