From Fox News Adam Housley, the best (most ferocious, most Irwin Allen-y) Universal Studios fire photo so far.

The fire has apparently wasted much of the Back to the Future, the King Kong ride/exhibit and "thousands of videos and reels in a vault," says an AP story.
"Roughly 40,000 to 50,000 videos and reels were in the video vault, but these are duplicates stored in a different location, said Ron Meyer, NBC Universal president and chief operating officer. Firefighters managed to recover hundreds of those titles from the vault.
"The blaze broke out on a sound stage in a set featuring New York brownstones facades around 4:30 a.m. at the 400-acre property. The fire was contained to the lot but still burning several hours later.

We can only hope the negative for Problem Child was never duplicated and stored at a different location.

"Problem Child."
That's fu**ing funny. In case the negatives and all copies of You, Me and Dupree, Man of the Year, and the Cat in the Hat didn't burn, can someone track them down and thrown them on the embers before they go out?

From first hand experience I can tell you that it is a LOT worse than that photo.
What the media is not telling you about is the huge toxic cloud of smoke that's going over Burbank right now due to the video vault burning down. If you're in Burbank, shut your windows.
It's duct tape time, baby.

Blood,
It changes by the minute but from what I've been hearing from others... the King Kong stage, the New York St., the New England style street, the entire clock tower square, the video vault... that's just what I've heard though.
I was there early this morning until early afternoon but the fire was so big it was hard to really tell what was actually burning because of the amount of smoke. I've never seen anything like it in real life.
Once I heard that the video vault went up and saw how black the smoke was, I split the scene in a hurry.
There were a few rumblings going around the lot about a bomb threat that was received....but who the hell knows. CNN & Fox said this as well but it hasn't been confirmed. Someone probably saw a bomb squad truck and freaked out.

I live right over the 101 from the studio but luckily haven't smelled anything. Then again, what do I care - my office was 2 blocks from Ground Zero in Manhattan. If I'm getting lung cancer, it started in 2001/2002.

It's funny. Despite all that destruction, those clouds of smoke remind me of soft fuzzy bunny rabbits and teddy bears.
