Vegas is the one approach -- other than LGA in heavy wind (which is why I never fly into LGA anymore) -- which I hate the most. You're always guaranteed a bumpy ride down going from super-cold temperatures to desert floor temperatures and you have that tight turn right at the end to swing you back around. I'll be doing my annual trip this coming Sunday so I may have to drink on the flight to deal with the landing...
From that Canyon Blue engine it looks like you flew the Hooker Express, (Southwest Airlines to/from Burbank/LAX to/from Las Vegas)
That flight, (especially on Fridays and Sundays), is always half-filled with sparky hotties who make their bread and butter hooking and/or stripping in Vegas on the weekends. They acknowledge the flight attendants who usually recognize them and then they take their seat, garnering stares from horny guys and hateful wives.
BTW, McCarren's a cake landing compared to Chicago Midway on a windy day.

Second the McCarren trepidation. I can feel the turbulence just looking at that pic.

Why fly when you can drive? I love that desolate trek across the frying pan.
