Slate's Mickey Kaus wrote this morning that he's "alarmed to hear reports that the prospect of a second John Edwards vp run is actually being taken seriously. Hello...Obama team? Aternity-pay est-Tay! And get the DNA yourself."

Having an illegitimate child didn't seem to hurt Bush. My own argument against Edwards is that he killed Kerry's campaign, so why give him a second chance?

D.Z., huge thanks on those two links. Awesome reads, particularly Gary Webb. I recently picked up Crossing the Rubicon which discusses how a large part of Wall Street's liquidity is from narcotics.

Well, this degenerated fast. The reason not to pick Edwards is because he did nothing for John Kerry and went nowhere in the Democratic primary this year. He only ever won one election because it was the year of impeachment payback. He's a northern liberal's idea of a Southern Democrat votegetter, but it turns out nobody in the South happens to agree with that.

I'm pretty much with Mgmax on that one. Plus, Edwards would have to justify his war vote again; and in the process, he'd sink Obama like he did Kerry.

There's a part of me that thinks that, if DZ and Max agree on something (something about politics, no less), I should disagree just on principle. In this case, I don't think I can.

Which is more pathetic? Believing something the National Enquirer says? Or believing something Mickey Kaus says?
Was this next to the Enquirer's regular Bat Boy update?
