Cloverfield [BLU-RAY] (Paramount Home Entertainment, 6.3.2008) Disguised under deliberately goofy, yet deliciously edible-sounding, aliases such as Cheese and Slusho, Matt Reeves' Cloverfield was produced and rushed into theaters under an equally appetizing shroud of secrecy. From last year's incredibly elusive Super Bowl ad to the film's viral marketing campaign, Cloverfield had everybody scratching their heads and drooling in anticipation. Aside from the as-yet untitled title and the Blair Witch-ian visual style, the film's biggest appeal was the enigmatic creature who was last (un)seen hurling the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty onto the crowded streets of New York City. All we knew about the mysterious beast was that it was big and angry. Now that the highy-anticipated project has come and gone, one question has fortunately been answered: Cloverfield was a major success. (continued)

I guess I just don't get movies-as-interactive experience.

Why would anyone want to go see SCARFACE, one of the most awesome movies ever made, in a room full of chattering, laughing, smug assholes SWEARING ALONG WITH THE MOVIE and reciting dialogue?

Christ, some motherfucker in LOVE GURU sucks on his candy too loudly, I'm ready to throw down on him. Last thing I'd ever want is sitting amidst a bunch of hipper-than-thous snickering their way through A FUCKING MASTERPIECE and treating it like some big joke.

And I'd never watch some camp-fest like ROCKY HORROR, but if I DID somehow find myself sitting in a theater WHERE I'M TRYING TO WATCH A GODDAMN MOVIE, I don't want ANYONE TALKING AND DANCING ALONG, and I'd be pissed as fuck if so much as one person started acting like an undignified douchenag like that.

Great clip. I didn't realize all the times they said fuck in the movie. I think they missed one: When Tony is in the tub, and Michelle Pfeffier is in front of the tv, he says fuck. I'm not completely sure, but I think so. I'm also not sure of the spelling of her last name, fuck!

Scareface is very good, but a masterpiece? Pacino sort of annoys me with his overselling the cuban accent. Over the top, but definately watchable.
