It's nighttime in Afghanistan now, and the temperature in Kabul is 81 degrees (according to the iPhone weather thing). I'm imagining sitting on an outdoor terrace in eastern Afghanistan, sipping from a warm can of Coke and hearing very faint sounds of rifle fire coming from somewhere beyond the hills, as well as local men talking in a nearby cafe...walla walla, mullah mullah.

"Im more interested in listening than doing a lot of talking," BHO told reporters before leaving the States for his MIddle Eastern/European visit. "And I think it is very important to recognize that I'm going over there as a U.S. senator. We have one president at a time."

My favorite part of this trip, is John McCain publicly announcing Obama's visit and thus violating several well-known security protocols. But, hey, he's old and senior citizens do the darnedest things. Let's make one president! It'll be adorable.

Not going to make a joke here. Hope he has a safe trip over there. my cousin served a year over there and is now spending a year in Iraq.
I must say, BHO (that's fucin' genius, Wells. makes him sound like a late 70s road rock group) is looknig darker than usual in this pic. Is he tanning? I'm serious here. Maybe it's that hot hot Afghan sun. Either, way, he looks tan and well rested. Doubt he's going to the gym six times a day in Kabul, though.

"Walla walla, mullah mullah"???? What the fuck, Wells? When you dream of sitting in a cafe in East Asia, do you imagine the people around you muttering, "Ching chong ching chong ching chong ching", too??

It all translates to 'at midnight, we slit American throats."
It is good that we restored Afghanistan to its Nacro-empire glory otherwise what would English pop stars do with their afternoons.

Hagel on the ticket is my last hope for something interesting. I respect Tim Kaine but it would just be zero excitement. That picture clearly shows why he can't pick Jack Reed.

Um, Wells... I tried googling your little catchphrase. Came up with nothing.
What exactly were you trying to convey? Right now it sounds extremely ignorant. Out of curiousity, do you even know what languages are spoken in Afghanistan?

and when will people stop saying that afganistan is in the middle east? it's in central asia for fuck's sake...

I think him getting the language wrong is less obnoxious than a President who invades the place wrong...

It's also less obnoxious than:
A drunken frat boy trying to play hacky sack with a bag of wet turds; a belching, farting duck named Fred; a stupid non sequitur post from you-know-who.
