An "extremely intoxicated" Andy Dick was arrested this morning by California cops on drug and sexual battery charges, says The Smoking Gun. Dick, 42, was popped about 10 hours ago in Riverside County after he allegedly groped the breasts of a 17-year-old girl, etc. The incident occurred outside a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. Two lessons: (a) addictions will ruin your life, and (b) don't smile like some demonic character out of a Batman film (or like the great John Barrymore in 1920's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) when they take your mug shot.

Lovitz needs to beat the shit out of this guy on a regular basis. I disagree with the second point though, might as well smile.

Won't say I partied with him, but he was with a group of people I knew (this is in Atlanta) when we all went out. The guy is a freak, and not in a good way. We were all 25-30 (about a year ago), and he acted like the average guy in my freshman dorm at a strip club. He absolutely would not leave the house we were at on his own. It was pretty sad actually to watch.

This guy should have been put to sleep a long time ago. An unfunny\ douchebag.
To paraphrase George Carlin, we should put Dick and David Spade in a cage, make them fight to the death, and then shoot whoever wins.

I've been reading Lemony Snicket out loud to my visiting niece. That mug shot looks like he's trying out for the part of the creepy and evil Count Olaf. (Who does try to get it on with a 14-year-old girl, in a children's book, no less!)
He's probably copying Tom Delay's smile in HIS mug shot.

TomKat, couples breaking up, celeb getting arrested, knee-jerk reactions to body issues, general bitchiness issues....
Not that there is anything wrong with that, as they say.
On the other hand, not being gay and into gossip, had no idea about the backstory to the Lovitz/Dick thing (Phil Hartman's murder). Sheesh, no wonder Dick acts like a, uh, dick. Don't know how I would handle every SNL alum on the planet saying I am responsible for someone's death.
Considering that Dick has not sued Lovitz over the cocaine accusation, must be an awful lot of truth to the charge.

Do they still need a Joker for Batman 3?
And that's not Barrymore, it's Iggy Pop.

Earth to Hollywood Elsewhere posters: Dick is mentally ill. The drugs are a symptom, and exacerbation, but not the cause. God only knows what kind of "help" could really help him, because he may just belong in an institution. Of course, money and fame are good for keeping you out of those (Frances Farmer excepted).

Yeah, this is a little thing, but I resent Dick's behavior because it makes it more difficult to enjoy reruns of News Radio. (For me the only time the guy was funny.)

I was shocked to learn he was a co-star of a network sitcom from 2002-2006, "Less Than Perfect". I'm sure four years of that + residuals from syndication and DVDs of 'Newsradio' refill the coffers quite nicely.
