W has never struck me as a super striver. More like a guy who sort of stumbles into things on the basis of family connections:Yale, the Texas Rangers, the White House. And he interprets these "successes" as affirmations from Jesus that he is meant to do great things.

Interesting that Dowd lists three liberal Democrats who each personally cheated on their wives and lied to the public and than she has to find a way to fit in Bush who has done nothing close to that. His great crime she says is listening to his VP. WOW! Is she incapable of actually writing a column that doesnt try to bash Bush?
