Hearty congratulations to voice actor Cedering Fox, a personal friend of this columnist whose Word Theatre shows have been mentioned on HE from time to time, for landing a great gig as the official announcer of the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver.

I thought Obama was supposed to be coming up with a choice that would provide excitement, a dynamic statement.

But Billy Mays knows how to see America. He has that voice that makes you say, "What new and innovative product has he discovered." He can fix bridges with the putty stuff. He knows how to keep our clothes clean. Plus now he has a health care agenda with his insurance company.

Plus he has a beard that will make him look good on money.

Biden's got the inside track. Shame Chuck Hagel won't go for it.

Biden is a smart and capable guy who loves the sound of his own voice way too much. A common ailment among Senators, but Biden has it far worse than average.

And those hair plugs!

Biden is a huge snore who make Evan Bayh look better and better. Make Biden a Cabinet officer.

"Cerdering, Cerdering.." "Fox...Fox..." I am going to be listening for her voice (Thank you, Jeff), and the fact that I now have a face to go along with that is, um, er, icing on the cake?
