A couple of hours ago Michael Mahoney of KMBC reported that the Gill Company of Lenexa, Kansas, which specializes in political literature, has been printing Obama-Bayh material. A company rep would neither confirm nor deny information about the material. Mahoney added that at least three sources close to the plant's operations reported the Obama-Bayh material was being produced. Bayh is blah -- a moderately conservative guy who supported Hillary and mainly causes eyelids to droop. If it's Bayh, it's a big snore. Please, please -- make it not be so.
Update: HE's Austin correspondent Moises Chiullan has examined the font of the Obama Bayh stickers and isn't convinced it's consistent with past design efforts.

Andrea Mitchell just reported on NBC Nightly News that these bumper stickers were NOT ordered by the campaign, but apparently by a private web site that hoped to anticipate the nominee and do some online sales. The font on these, she reports, does not even match the font on all the other Obama materials. Nope, it's gonna be Joe Biden, whose son has reportedly been put on a private plane home and whose staff has warned the college at which he teaches a law school course to prepare for the need for a substitute instructor. Wait and see.

And you think Bayh is going to win these people over? My family members are these people. Most of my friends are these people. I say Evan Bayh and they mention his father and his pretty complexion. What about his policies? Silence.
Bayh is an upstanding guy but what does he stand for? How is he going to convince people who are outside of Obama's reach that Obama represents their interests? These are people who should be card carrying dems but are so disaffected with the group's policies that they'd rather vote Republican, or not vote at all.
Evan Bayh, or any other "boring white guy" is not going to win these people over. Obama needs someone who will break out Gallagher's hammer and repeatedly smack middle america over the head until it relaizes the economic straits of the country, and the pirahnas that are circling, waiting to steal the last pieces of food off its table.

Those people are won over because if Obama doesn't win, McCain does (Nader Preemption). Bucket of Warm Piss/No Controlling Authority (99%) or Vaderian puppet-master (1%), VP picks are all about not screwing the pooch (Ferraro, Quayle).
