Cloverfield [BLU-RAY] (Paramount Home Entertainment, 6.3.2008) Disguised under deliberately goofy, yet deliciously edible-sounding, aliases such as Cheese and Slusho, Matt Reeves' Cloverfield was produced and rushed into theaters under an equally appetizing shroud of secrecy. From last year's incredibly elusive Super Bowl ad to the film's viral marketing campaign, Cloverfield had everybody scratching their heads and drooling in anticipation. Aside from the as-yet untitled title and the Blair Witch-ian visual style, the film's biggest appeal was the enigmatic creature who was last (un)seen hurling the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty onto the crowded streets of New York City. All we knew about the mysterious beast was that it was big and angry. Now that the highy-anticipated project has come and gone, one question has fortunately been answered: Cloverfield was a major success. (continued)

Hilarious and true.

But I cautiously wonder if a PUMA type will see it and try to create some kind of anti-Obama controversy with it (as if he made it or something). I dunno, anything that could possibly incense those crazy Clintonistas frightens me now.

Wells: Thanks for the introduction to 23/6. It's nice to see the College Humor kids are growing up. While some of the videos I could do without, I enjoy the one minute summaries, which are enough to imbed the sound bite of the day firmly in my head.

This would be funny if you were a 21 year old Daily Kos infant.

And way to unite the party!

Again, by fomenting hatred for the vocal-but-tiny PUMA contingent, you're just playing into right wing hands.

Does anyone else find it a tad ironic that the folks decrying the "PUMA's" never stop spewing out fuck you's to anyone that still stubbornly wishes Clinton to be nominee? Doesn't that kinda make them "PUMA's" of their own right?

It reminds me of all the Dem's crying out "Fuck all you Republicans! You've divided the country in two, you stupid prick Republicans! We need unity, assholes!" It's only when we attempt civilized discourse that we can find common ground, and move towards common goals. This sort of gang mentality only widens divides and polarizes the party, and the nation as a whole.

The Get Your War On cartoons are just as good as the non-animated versions: some of the funniest, slyest political commentary in America.
