Politico's Jeffrey Ressner has posted a short profile of Cedering Fox, a special friend of yours truly and currently the voice of the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The best line, a description of Fox's voice, is right at the top: "Soothing and smart. Slightly sexy. Raspy, too."

But wait a minute.... I just read on one of the other posts how Politico is part of the evil, super-secret, right-wing noise machine... How am I supposed to believe anything THEY say?

Jeffrey Wells to Walter Sobchak: So it has been said. So it may be. I do believe that right-wing media today -- news channels, talk shows, blogs -- is a totally evil, totally unified attack-dog hammer machine that cares for nothing except the perpetration of its own power. If Politico is in some way in league with this evil, then they will someday face their just fate.
On the other hand, as I've said before, right-wing guys aren't so bad if you meet over beers.
May God smite the agents of evil everywhere in the world, and may the worst of the right-wing fiends -- Glenn Beck, etc. -- spend eternity roasting on a spit in the hottest corner of hell.
And may the voice of Cedering Fox be heard again and again in similar-such events.

I've stated many times that I'm a leftist, but I have to say that I work in a political environment and some of the people I respect quite a lot could be considered right-wingers. I'd even vote for one or two given the chance.

Left-wing nutjob pinko Elsewhere sort-of sidekick Moisés to Sobchak: Politico, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, all of the nets, etc etc are all in the process of creating stories and filling space because that's what they do to make money. If Wolf Blitzer kills dead air with "the greatest political team on television" again, I think even passive viewers will catch on that he's just saying words to fill space.
Usually the only really nutritious or worthwhile commentary comes from the Daily Show/Colbert teams, Wonkette, or Bill Maher's HBO Cirque du Politik.

For somebody who rolled over for FOX and O'Reilly, Jeff Wells sure does get tough when he's online deleting posts. A real tough guy, huh?

What's that great line in Lebowski? "She's not my girlfriend. She's my special lady friend."
