I should have linked to this 9.10 Sarah Palin-Westbrook Pegler observation by the Wall Street Journal's Thomas Frank, which was quickly linked to by Politico's Ben Smith.
Oh, and it's hilarious that the WSJ is speaking out against faceless corporations after being bought out by one, and endorsing their anti-trust policies for a while now.
Thomas Frank stands alone. The minute booksellers are unable to sell the latest Frank book, the WSJ will cut him loose and return to its traditional values of praising the free markets, slamming Obama for proposing an increase in the corporate tax rate, and promoting inhumane policies that pad their cohorts' bottom lines.
I am from a small town near Kansas City and this Thomas Frank piece is dead on balls accurate (it's an industry term). Small town folk will vote for McCain/Palin because they feel like the Republicans reflect their own values. This is why they are bending over backwards to accept the knocked-up Palin daughter.
