The Burning Plan director-writer Guillermo Arriaga following last night's screening of his film at Toronto's Winter Garden theatre. I was supposed to chat with him after the screening, but a last-minute addition of a q & a with the audience delayed everything, and I had to be at the Coen brothers/Burn After Reading party at 11 pm, so I decided to record a portion of the q & a and take some shots, three of which came out nicely.

Wells to Diesel: Guillermo Arriaga is an okay looking guy. All right, you could say that in a certain light he resembles the Son of Kong, but I say that with genuine affection. (I'm thinking of Son of Kong's expressive face, which was all about gentleness and inquisitiveness and a lack of aggression.) The main thing is that Guillermo is a wonderfully kind and gentle soul, and there are no kind and gentle souls anywhere in the world who aren't beautiful. Trim your sails and think about being less corrosive the next time you speak.

I could totally see Jeremy Sisto looking like him in 15 years; I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not. Anyhow, the facial expressions in the pics reminded me of Sisto.
