Not long ago, Sharon Stone was in our area doing some charity work. The local paper published a picture of her without makeup and she was virtually unrecognizable, though not in a bad way. She looked like a healthy, youthful for her age, middle-aged woman. It was nothing like her public glam image.

Notably, she looked absolutely nothing like the grotesque thing in this piece.

I grew up in Oklahoma, and just got back to Seattle after a year back there. I guarantee you can find people who look like this all over OKC, only fatter. Wells would have a stroke if he ever made his way into one of the many all-you-can-scarf, belly-up-to-the-trough buffets that are so popular there.

I think I read recently that OK has finally supplanted Mississippi in the race for percentage of truly obese people that make up their respective populations.
